Adopt a friend for life

Tico: Adopted!

Type: APHC Appaloosa

Age: 22 Years

Sex: Gelding

Size: 16.1 Hand

Color: Appaloosa

Health: Blind in left eye

UPDATE: I have been adopted!

I’m Tico. I’m a 22 year old, 16.1 hand ApHC registered Appaloosa gelding. I’ve got more energy than you’d expect – Show me the mountains! I’ve done the Chief Joseph Trail Ride three times and wouldn’t mind going again. I’m great at trail riding, Search and Rescue is my profession, and Air Scent Detection is my Super Power. With a resume like that, you hardly notice I am blind in my left eye. Special consideration to a central Oregon home where I can continue doing scent work with the good folks at Mustangs To The Rescue.

Interested in Adopting?

Because we consider each horse that comes through our door as a member of our family, Mustangs To The Rescue wants to ensure the horse we place will be going to a long-term, loving and caring home.

Designed to ensure that the adoption will be in the best interest of both the horse and the adopter, each step of our adoption process helps us to identify if we have the right match.
