February 2022 Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue (TLAER) Course

Technical Animal Rescue in Central Oregon in February 2022 !

February has some great opportunities for us all to become more prepared for when trouble darkens our door.

February 18 & 19 – Friday evening & Saturday morning – TLAER Short Course for Vets & Farriers (only) – tell your vet, vet tech, shoer, and trimmer! After all, these professionals are in & out of our barns and we want them to have skills handy in emergencies. We know that our equine professionals are terribly busy and probably can’t take two full days out of their schedules. We are offering this intense course as a way to get this info to our vets & farriers in a shorter time frame and less expense. We ALL benefit from more of this information in our community.

TBD between February 21 and 25 – TLAER Skills Lab for Animal Rescue Workers – this course is for those that have already taken the Awareness Level course at least once and want to practice their skills.

Tentative TBD between February 21 and 25 – TLAER for Firefighter and First Responders – this short course & skills lab is offered as a recurring effort to keep these skills honed in our community. If you know a First Responder that may be interested, please contact them. This event is a collaboration between MTTR and Bend Fire and is at this point tentatively planned depending on scheduling.

February 26 & 27 – Saturday & Sunday – Public TLAER Awareness Level Course in Bend – for any horse or livestock owners or handlers, boarding or training facility operators and employees. YOU need this course (and it will blow your mind)! 16 hour course, approximately 9 am to 5 pm both days, jam packed with information and hands-on practice.

Drop an email to info@mustangstotherescue.org for registration and more information.

Short Course (6 hours) for Vets & Farriers Feb 18 & 19 – $100 (limit 35)

Public Awareness Level Course (16 hours) Feb 26 & 27 – $200 (limit 50)

Let’s work together to get this info into our community.

Contact us quickly so we can make ideal arrangements. Be the person in your neighborhood that helps avoid a disaster. The two day course costs $200, checks payable to Mustangs To The Rescue, 21670 McGilvray Road (please provide contact info) or PayPal to info@mustangstotherescue.org.
